In response to growing interest from hospitals seeking practical strategies to strengthen safety culture and advance high reliability, the Washington State Hospital Association, with support from the WSHA Clinical Excellence Committee, is launching the 2027 DELTA Safety Culture Collaborative.

This nine-month virtual learning community gathers hospital leaders, clinicians and quality professionals from across the state to learn, share practices and accelerate improvement efforts.

Strong safety culture is the foundation of high reliability, and participation in collaborative learning has never been more important. Hospitals that foster psychological safety, communication, learning and visible leadership commitment are positioned to reduce harm, improve outcomes, strengthen workforce engagement and create environments where every team member feels empowered to speak up and improve care.
