Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center plans to launch its Tele Forensic Nurse Program in October 2026, expanding access to expert support for hospitals across Washington state.
The program will provide 24/7 access to trained forensic nurses who can guide and mentor local nurses conducting forensic examinations for adult and adolescent sexual assault patients, pediatric sexual assault patients and patients experiencing domestic violence-related nonfatal strangulation.
The program is open to Washington hospitals whose staff provide forensic exam services, helping strengthen clinical expertise and improve access to specialized care statewide.
