The University of Washington’s Addictions, Drug and Alcohol Institute is hosting the third session of Frontline Conversations: Advancing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Care in Clinical Practice on Wednesday, August 5th, 12-1:30pm. This virtual learning series will focus on Involuntary SUD Treatment in Washington: When and How?
Using the involuntary treatment act to detain patients with substance use disorder has been an option in Washington since Ricky’s Law went into effect in 2018, but it is underutilized. At the same time, the impacts of untreated substance use disorder continue to impact families, communities, and health care systems. Learn more about the series and register here. (Brittany Weiner)
