WSHA supports Rep. Larsen’s legislation to repeal burdensome Medicaid paperwork

Representative Rick Larsen’s Patients Over Paperwork Act reverses harmful Medicaid rules in the HR. 1. Currently, recipients are forced to recertify every six months instead of annually, adding barriers that could cause 700,000 people nationwide and to lose coverage.

We applaud Rep. Larsen for protecting patients and reducing red tape. Stable coverage is essential for access to care, better health outcomes and a more equitable system. (Cassie Sauer)
