Join the next Expanding and Improving Substance Use Disorder Care in Emergency Services event on Tuesday, June 23 from 9-10 a.m. for How a Hospital Becomes a Hub for Substance Use Disorder Treatment: Olympic Medical Center’s Role in Port Angeles’ Expanding Continuum of Care. Presenters from Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles Fire Department, and North Olympic Health Network will share how they are working together to improve access to care for patients with substance use disorders.

Improving care for patients with SUD leads to better outcomes for patients and health care workers. It’s also aligned with improvement initiatives in the State Directed Payment Program and Medicaid Quality Incentive Program

This monthly learning session, co-hosted by the University of Washington’s Addictions, Drug and Alcohol Institute and Behavioral Health Crisis Outreach Response and Education, aims to strengthen coordination between EMS and hospital emergency departments to improve care for patients who use drugs.
