WSHA will host the first of two 2026 virtual Board Chair Roundtables on May 22 from noon-1 p.m. The roundtables are an opportunity to gather Board Chairs from across the state to learn, share and connect on issues facing Washington’s hospitals. Hospital, health system and PHD Board Chairs as well as CEOs are welcome to join.
The May 22 roundtable will address growing financial pressures facing hospitals. WSHA CEO Cassie Sauer will give a brief presentation, with the bulk of the time dedicated to discussion for peer-to-peer sharing and learning.
We’ll explore:
- The Board’s understanding of hospital finances.
- How financial constraints impact your ability to maintain high quality and safe services.
- Communicating with your staff, physicians and communities.
- Potential advocacy roles for Board Chairs.
